Think about it. Sit, relax and tune the world out. Think about where you started from in this life. Now think where you were 20 years ago, or maybe even 5 years ago. Consider all aspects of how you felt, your worries, what angered you, as well as your beliefs about yourself, others, and the world.
Now think of where you are now. Don’t rush this - really think through how you feel about yourself, life, and the world now.
As you can see... ‘It’s a long way down, it's a long way down to the place where you started from.’
You have come a long way. Yet, you might find yourself yearning for the past or old emotional beliefs about how life ‘should be’. This may be further exacerbated if you feel out of place with your current spiritual nesting place, especially if it is different from than those around you.
But please remember: ‘It’s a long way down, it's a long way down to the place where you started from.’ You don’t want to go back down; you want to journey forward! Hold this thought – the new is always greater than the old. Know and feel the truth of it within your heart, soul, and body.
The energies both within and outside of us are becoming more challenging. As this occurs, it can be easy to slip backwards and downwards. If this is not what you want, that’s a good thing as it is also not why you are here!
You are here to achieve continual movement forward into your full spiritual potential. You are also here to be a beacon for others, so they can understand it is possible to avoid sliding backwards when challenges occur. It’s so important to hold onto the knowing that I can hold my peaceful center and my balance -- no matter what twist or turn I experience or witness in life. This knowing is powerful and can move mountains!
I’d like to close by paraphrasing and recrafting the Sarah Mclaughlin song ‘Ice Cream,’ which helped inspire this article.
‘My own love is better than chocolate- better than anything else I can see. In this frequency everyone knows how to be.
My own love is better than ice cream - better than anything else I can try. In this frequency everyone knows how to fly.
It’s a long way down, it’s a long way down to the place where I started from.’
It’s taken too long to get to the ice cream and chocolate of you; don’t go down. Hold your ground. Continue your forward momentum. You are so worthy of it and I am proud of you.
Love - Alice
